Economic Development Manager

Need a focused, organized person to promote retention and expansion of Pasco County industries by identifying existing business needs research, plan, market, recruit, and to facilitate the development of and location searches for new and expanding office, technology, and industrial businesses and parks.  Responsibilities also include researching and coordinating strategies to support economic development efforts in targeted areas, including compiling and analyzing data; promoting and facilitating international trade opportunities for local businesses; and pursuing investment by foreign companies in Pasco County.

Also responsible for execution of workforce development initiatives with local partners and others, as well as general administrative tasks such as management/oversight of local incentive agreements, project management, site visits to gather company and industry intelligence, development/promotion of small business services and programs, including presentations to relevant business and community groups to promote the awareness and mission of Pasco EDC.

Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree in related field and a minimum of 3 years related experience or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties.  Salary range $45,000 - $55,000 with full benefits.

Program Assistant

Incumbent provides support for small business development program administration and planning.  Position is primarily located on-site at a SMARTstart Business Incubator and is responsible for promotion and event coordination, updating of programs and information on the website, coordination of news releases and events, tracking of leads received through Pasco Enterprise Network (PEN), prospect and program activity reporting. Assists the Program Director with initial contact and follow up with prospective clients, ongoing contact with clients and other customer service functions; provides information on programs and communicates with Advisory Board members and strategic partners. Responsibilities also include coordinating calendars for events, workshops classes, mentors, and incubator clients, as well as other duties assigned by the Program Director. 

Job Status:  Part Time (30 hours per week)

Salary Range:  $10 - $12 per hour
