Regional Map Donation Enhances Pasco Economic Development Presentations

April 1, 2011

Florida Design Consultants (FDC) is in the mapping business, and the company proved it in a big way by donating an enormous framed, full color regional map to the Pasco Economic Development Council (Pasco EDC). The map has been mounted in the Pasco EDC conference room for use with prospective business investors in Pasco County.  The map provides an overview of topography and transportation links from as far north as Citrus County, south to Sarasota County, and east to Orlando.

Pasco EDC hosts a variety of meetings in its office located in Lutz.  The map will provide an exceptional overview of central Florida to out-of-state clients, as well as local community and business leaders.

“Everyone who has been in the conference room since we installed the map has commented on it,” said John Hagen, President/CEO.  “Once you see it, you become mesmerized.  You soon realize what makes our community so naturally beautiful.”  Hagen added that ”when Elizabeth Lyon-Hall told us that Florida Design Consultants wanted to give us a better map for our conference room, we had no idea that this is what she meant.  It’s really an improvement.”

“Most people are extremely visual, so FDC wanted to provide Pasco EDC with a top quality map to highlight the unique characteristics of Pasco County. Using our GIS system, we created what we think is a great representation of the attributes of the county that can help Pasco EDC convey the opportunity that Pasco County provides,” stated Kevin Mazur, FDC, IT & GIS Manager.

Florida Design Consultants offers civil engineering, surveying, transportation studies and design, environmental permitting, planning, GIS and computer graphic services to private and public sector clients throughout the State of Florida. FDC has established itself as a highly knowledgeable, goal oriented organization that accomplishes its tasks quickly and efficiently.
