Pasco Business Leader will Participate in Regional Economic Development Program

04-26-2011

Local business leader Raj M. Ravi has been selected for Tampa Bay Partnership’s 2011 CEO Direct Program.  The goal of the CEO Direct program is to ensure local business leaders are active participants in the Tampa Bay area’s economic development initiatives.  Participants learn about the critical issues effecting economic development in the Tampa Bay region and are challenged to help find solutions through problem solving, regional collaboration and strategic thinking.

Mr. Ravi, who is the Managing Director for Prudential Commercial Real Estate, is already very involved in economic development in Pasco County.  He serves on the Board of Directors of the Pasco Economic Develop Council (PEDC) and is its Secretary/Treasurer.  His involvement with CEO Direct will allow him to gain a more regional perspective on economic development issues and connect with other business leaders helping Tampa Bay reach its full potential.

Mr. Ravi has negotiated a variety of commercial real estate transactions in the Bay Area including site selection, land sales and office sales and leasing.   As a Certified Commercial Investment Member, he is recognized as an expert in commercial and investment real estate.  He also serves on the Board of the Florida Gulfcoast Commercial Association of Realtors, the James P. Gills YMCA Advisory Board, and the Pasco Education Foundation’s Take Stock in Children Mentoring Program.

Participation in the CEO Direct program is by invitation only and is limited to 25 participants each year.  During the ten month program, participants attend a monthly program and tour major regional institutions that exemplify the four drivers of Tampa Bay Partnership’s Model for Prosperity - innovation, human capital, infrastructure and quality place.
