Pasco Economic Development Council
The Pasco Economic Development Council (PEDC) was created in 1987 to foster the economic vitality and business development opportunities of Pasco County, Florida. The PEDC is committed to positive growth to make Pasco County a great place to live and work. You won't find a more supportive county in which to do business.
Mission Statement: The Pasco Economic Development Council will lead Pasco County in the creation of a sustainable and diversified economy.
The PEDC Business Development Team can help you:
- Find funding resources to expand your business
- Coordinate job and workforce training programs
- Coordinate employer activities/services with Career Central
- Obtain local permits and assist with regulatory requirements
- Work as a liaison with various state and federal agencies
- Link directly to the business leaders in the Tampa Bay region through its membership in the Tampa Bay Partnership
- Coordinate local and State incentives

President/CEO
John Hagen, CEcD
John oversees all aspects of the PEDC's programs and operations. He recently relocated to Pasco County from Surprise, Arizona, where he served as Economic Development Director for five years. He is a graduate of Western Michigan University and received his professional certification, CEcD, from the International Economic Development Council.

Vice President
John is responsible for business recruitment, project management, and marketing. He is a graduate of the University of South Florida, the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute, and received his professional certification, CEcD, from the International Economic Development Council. John is a member of the Citizens Advisory Council of the Metropolitan Planning Organization and is a graduate of Leadership Tampa Bay and Leadership Pasco.

Business Retention & Expansion Manager
Denise Sanderson
Denise is responsible for managing the organization's business retention and expansion services for Pasco-based businesses including site location, financial, permitting and regulatory assistance. Denise also serves as staff to Business Incentive Commission, is responsible for development and coordination of small business and entrepreneur programs, is liaison to Manufacturers Association of Florida, is a member of the joint advisory council of Florida Advanced Technological Education Center/Banner Center for Manufacturing, and represents PEDC in the development of Pasco County School's Certified Career Academies. She is a graduate of Leadership Pasco 2008.

Business Assistance Coordinator
Casey is responsible for assisting new and existing businesses with identifying training needs and with accessing the appropriate funding sources. She also manages the annual existing industry survey and assists with existing industry needs. Casey also coordinates the marketing efforts of PEDC. Casey is a graduate of the USF with a Bachelor of Arts in Interpersonal and Organizational Skills in Communications and a graduate of Leadership Pasco 2009.

Office Manager
Suzanne is responsible for organizing and coordinating office operations and procedures in order to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency.She is the point contact for all Board members, investors, and community leaders. Suzanne oversees and coordinates the marketing of all PEDC events which include Annual Industry Appreciation Banquet, NetFest, Investor Relations, and Business Development Week luncheon, etc. She is a graduate of Basic Economic Development Course and a member of the PEDC team for 16 years.
