• Support development of countywide Math, Science & Technology Career Academies
• Increase awareness of training and skills improvement funding opportunities
• Explore collaboration of a Pasco Corporate Training Center
• Explore collaboration of a Technology Business Incubator
Objective A: Education and Industry
- Promote internship program with schools and businesses
- Assist Pasco Hernando Community College with evaluating the ULI concept of establishing a teaching hospital with a partnering university.
- Assist Primary Target Industries to identify training needs and enhance workforce competencies
- Continue to assist education partners and training providers to develop a skilled workforce to meet business needs now and into the future
- Partner with education institutions to create customized programs that will assist in the attraction and retention of businesses.
- Unite education institutions, training providers and workforce resources to integrate training services for the business community.
Objective B: Technology Business Incubator
- Identify funding sources for a high-tech business incubator
- Create an incubator resource fund to invest in start-up companies
Objective C: Advocacy
- Advocate to secure public and private resources for Career Academies
