January 6, 2012
Lutz, Florida — Summer Martin is excited about her first day on the job at the Pasco Economic Development Council. “Pasco County has so many opportunities, and I am really looking forward to telling the Pasco story,” she said. “Nowhere else in Tampa Bay has as much room to grow--I think 2012 is going to be our year.”
Martin has joined the Pasco Economic Development Council as its Marketing and Events Coordinator. She is responsible for marketing, event organizing, and publicity for the countywide non-profit organization. Martin holds a degree in Public Relations and Advertising from Lee University. She was previously the Marketing Director for B-21 Fine Wine & Spirits in Tarpon Springs.
“We’re lucky to get her,” said John Hagen, Pasco EDC President/CEO. “She has a wealth of complimentary experience, including direct mail, social media, events, international marketing, and customer relationship management. Plus, she’s bilingual—the whole package.”
Pasco County private and public leaders have been making dramatic changes in the local development process and forming new coalitions with the education community to build a superior workforce. Hagen said that, “our story needs to be told. We are on the move to become recognized as the leading economic development community in the Tampa Bay region. To achieve this, we need great marketing talent. Summer Martin is a terrific addition to our team. She is already making a difference.”
