January 10, 2012

Pasco County, Florida — Pasco Economic Development Council, Inc. is proud to support West Pasco’s Business Development Week by bringing in Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of Raymond James, Scott J. Brown, Ph.D., to share his forecasts on the economy in 2012. Dr. Brown will present his assessment of where we stand and highlight key risks for the coming year.

“I have been on the lookout for signs of economic recovery for the last four years, and they've been hard to find until recently,” said John Hagen, Pasco EDC President/CEO. “Now I think we may have turned the corner. I am looking forward to hearing Dr. Brown’s perspective.”

Every New Year is met with hope and anticipation that next year will be better than the last. Many business leaders are wondering what is in store for the economy in 2012, especially because it is an election year. Some are wondering if Europe’s debt will have a direct effect on Florida’s recovery. These and other questions will be addressed at Pasco EDC’s networking and business luncheon on “The Economic Outlook for 2012.”

The luncheon will be hosted at the Tampa Bay Golf & Country Club on Friday, January 27 (10641 Old Tampa Bay Dr., San Antonio, FL 33576). Cost is $25 per person and includes a buffet lunch and presentation. Networking and registration begins at 11:00 am. RSVP by January 24th at www.pascoedc.com/events or by calling 888-60-PASCO.
