Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE)

The SCORE Association is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small businesses nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the Small Business Administration (SBA). SCORE Association volunteers serve as "Counselors to America's Small Business." Working and retired executives and business owners donate their time and expertise as volunteer business counselors and provide confidential counseling and mentoring free of charge.

Small Business Development Center (SBDC)

Over the past 20 years, the SBDC has assisted over 75,000 small business owners. The SBDC services include FREE one-on-one confidential counseling, low-cost entrepreneurial training and the business resource center (a business library and computer lab). The SBDC conducts more than 200 entrepreneurial programs annually on topics and issues that are important to today's small business owners. Industry experts and SBDC professional counselors teach these low cost/no-cost workshops and seminars. The SBDC provides the following services to its clients:

Technological Research and Development Authority (TRDA)

The TRDA was established by the Florida Legislature in 1987, delivers the transfer of cutting-edge technologies to schools and small businesses throughout the State of Florida. Specifically, the TRDA sponsored programs that enhance education, space research and economic development within the state. By seeking matching funds for visionary projects, TRDA has been able to augment Florida's resources with those of government and private industry.

Rural Business Cooperative Services

United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Federal Program Rural Business Cooperative Services (RBS), these business programs work in partnership with the private sector and community-based organizations to provide financial assistance and business planning. RBS helps fund projects that create or preserve quality jobs and/or promote a clean rural environment. The financial resources of RBS are often leveraged with those of other public and private credit source lenders to meet business and credit needs in under-served areas. Recipients of these programs may include individuals, corporations, partnerships, cooperatives, public entities, nonprofit corporations, Indian tribes, and private companies.
