Career Central
 
Career Central is a valuable link between Pasco County employers and local job seekers, with a goal to help people find great jobs, and employers to find great people. This is the One Stop Center for the employment needs of Pasco County businesses. Career Central provides employee evaluations, job fairs, applicant screening, training programs and referrals. The services available in the Career Central One Stop system are at no-cost to employers and job seekers.

Promoting Manufacturing Careers

 

There are many ways for your company to get involved in promoting manufacturing career paths. It is important that we reach students as early as elementary school to interest them in technical education.
  • Speak in a classroom about manufacturing jobs
  • Be a Career Mentor to a High School Student
  • Host students or teachers at your company to give them an understanding of modern manufacturing jobs
  • Shadow a principle or school administrator to better understand our school system and how to affect change

Certified Career Academies
 
Pasco County Schools' Certfied Career Academies offer students in grades 9 - 12 rigorous and relevant curriculums leading to high skill, high wage occupations in demand.  Nationally recognized industry certifications, college credits and articulation agreements with area colleges and universities provide students with opportunities to pursue technically advanced courses of study to meet the needs of our local and regional employers.  Emphasis on employability skills and opportunities for work-based learning provide value to both the student and employer and contribute to the applied learning concepts of the Certified Career Academies.  Pasco County Schools is committed to providing opportunities for students in industries posed for growth:  Automotive Service, Business Management, Construction, Culinary Arts, E-Commerce, Engineering, Finance, Health, Information Technology, Natural Resources, and Utilities.
